Mississippi State University's distance learning degree programs have already set a precedent with its willingness to assess all military experience that may apply toward an academic program of study.  

Our Bachelor of Science In Interdisciplinary Studies is an online degree program designed specifically for the adult learner and offers the final two (2) years toward the program of study. Our Master of Geosciences: Teachers in Geosciences is an online degree program that benefits anyone interested in obtaining more knowledge and expertise in the fields of the geosciences or combined geosciences education and is designed to provide "hands-on" experience. The entire program is completed online with the exception of the Field Methods course. The program allows you to complete the coursework within semester bounds on a flexible schedule. One-on-one instruction and interaction with other teachers from around the world makes for a diverse training in all earth sciences. Our Operational Meteorology Certificate Programis an online program that is available exclusively to members of the Armed Forces and provides you with a wide variety of meteorology courses designed to compliment the weather training received in the military.
