Hi everybody!

My name is James Hardin and I am the Independent Study Facilitator for the Department of Academic Outreach and Continuing Education here at Mississippi State University.  At this time I am specifically working with our High School Independent Study and Dual Enrollment programs. I currently travel all over the United States, meeting with groups of counselors, students, and parents concerning the Dual Enrollment program. In truth I am having an amazing experience, because I get to work and meet people from all different walks of life and varying backgrounds. The greatest part about our programs is that we get to offer something to everyone, regardless of their current situations or location. Our online learning environment can reach all around the globe!

I graduated from Mississippi State University with my BSIS degree in the spring of 2007. I am looking forward to obtaining my masters degree while working for Mississippi State, I just have to decide what to pursue! I have so many great choices, but so little time.

I am a huge Sports and Video game fanatic. Baseball would be my number 1 choice, but Football has been making a run at the top of my list for the last few years. This may be blasphemy in an area so populated with Atlanta Braves fans, but I am a diehard St. Louis Cardinals fan and try and make a game or two every year.

Before coming to work for State I worked in the Cell Phone industry as a regional manager for Alltel in the Jackson MS area. I liked my position, but I was looking for something more. Working for a major university filled that void, especially since it was this particular one!  I really enjoy my position here at State and am 1000% proud to be a part of the Bulldawg nation!
